One of the best breakfast places anywhere. Omelets, amazing oatmeal and much more. Homemade cranberry muffins are extraordinary and generous with the fruit. Homey and funky. Expressionist paintings by a Vietnam vet. A local fixture. Join the family.

This place is pretty gross. My friends and I ate there because someone told us that it was vegan-friendly, which it is not. The waitress was loud and would yell across the restaurant to people. She ignored us even though we were one of three tables in the place. When she finally brought us water she STUCK HER FINGERS IN THE GLASSES to carry them. We were so thirsty--had just been hiking for five hours--and couldn't drink what she brought us! We ended up filling our water bottles with tap from the bathroom sink.

Note: closed Tuesdays.

The food was not good. One guy ordered the A.L.T sandwich. He said it didn't taste good and he said the coleslaw was terrible. I tried it and realized immediately the MAYO HAD GONE RANCID. There was also the same mayo in his sandwich. We were in a rush to get our train and asked for the check, explaining why we needed it. Despite that, it still took them 20 minutes to bring our check. We just barely made our train. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone.

Comfortable and very freindly local vibe. Absolutely my go-to lunch spot in Cold Spring.

Delicious omelets, fabulous cheesecake!

You know from one look at the foundry that it's a locals' favorite with a ton of charm! Consistently good food and great service. Best quick breakfast in town. Staff knows the regulars and makes friends with newcomers. Clean and friendly, but not white napkin. I have to laugh at the germophobe city hiker tourists who complained about the "yelling waitress" - you people wouldn't know soul if it bit you in the face. If you can't appreciate the Foundry, go back home and hide your head in a pothole on 3rd Avenue.

It's like a high end breakfast but an a country grandmothers kitchen. Biker friendly and I enjoy going there
